I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual and couples therapy; and I maintain a private practice in Milwaukee, WI.
I work to assist individuals to make healthy life transitions in areas of relationships, career, family, academics and grief/loss transitions. Among my other areas of expertise are: anxiety, depression, work/career issues, relationship concerns, grief/loss, PTSD, low self-esteem, sex and pornography addiction and adjustment issues.
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate methodologies and techniques of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work to create a safe and trusting environment for individuals to share their inner most thoughts and feelings. I will also meet each individual where they are in life and to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. Through psychotherapy you will be able to create a balance in your life on a mental, emotional, physical and interpersonal level.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering. Its hallmarks are self-reflection and self-examination, and the use of the relationship between therapist and patient as a window into problematic relationship patterns in the patient’s life. Its goal is not only to alleviate the most obvious symptoms but to help people lead healthier lives.
